Mayor of North Tonawanda

Despite the fact that the number of cases in Niagara County continue to increase, the infection rate of 7.1% for our region keeps lowering.  We have 1104 cases, 108 0f them in NT and 70 individuals have died.  But the signs are positive and if we continue to social distance and wear the mask we will keep on the downward trend.

We have now entered Phase II along with additionally outside dining being allowed.  For those businesses wishing to know mandatory guidelines they can go to Niagaracountybusiness.com.  If a business needs face shields, they can be obtained at Custom Laser in Lockport.

Additionally, you can go to the City website to gain information by the CET group in NT.  Thank you to those who have had valuable input on the team.

Watching the news, you see disturbing incidences and images but luckily, we have not had to endure those kinds of situations.  Our law enforcement officers have been doing an exemplary job of trying to keep residents and buildings in NT safe.  Our gratitude goes to them for the protection they provide daily.

As of June 29th summer day camps may open with no stay overs allowed.   Once we move into Phase III and restaurants open, we may be able to open a few other things in town as well, providing there are no groups of more than 10.  Please continue to observe the Governors orders and stay safe in these unsettling times.
