National Fuel takes Greenwashing to a New Level with Sham Earth Day

Editor’s note:

Greenwashing: misleading or deceptive publicity disseminated by an organization so as to present an environmentally-responsible public image. For example, “the recycling bins in the cafeteria are just feeble examples of their corporate greenwash.”

The Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (CLCPA) was signed into law on July 18, 2019 to address climate change and reach net zero emissions in New York State. National Fuel has been fighting this bill tooth and nail, all the while attempting to build out natural gas (fossil fuel) infrastructure throughout Western New York in an attempt to keep the region hooked on gas.
