Local Film Festival to Showcase NFHS Student Films

The inaugural Grey Area Film Festival will take place on June 13, 2024, from 6:00PM to 9:00 PM, celebrating the creativity and hard work of Niagara Falls High School students. This event will be held at The Capitol Theatre in Niagara Falls, providing a platform for students to premiere their films to an audience of family, friends, classmates, faculty, and community members.

Since March 2024, these dedicated students have immersed themselves in the intricate world of filmmaking, learning various facets of production and cinematic arts. Their journey has encompassed scriptwriting, directing, cinematography, editing, and more, enabling them to express their unique perspectives and talents through the art of film. The Grey Area Film Festival will feature seven original short films, each crafted with care and creativity.

The event attire is formal and promises an evening of entertainment and inspiration, highlighting the next generation of filmmakers. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with the filmmakers on the red carpet, with a Q&A taking place after each film is shown to gain insights into their creative processes and the stories behind their films.

The Grey Area Film Festival is free and open to the public with the first 50 people receiving popcorn and beverages. Doors will open at 5:30 PM, with screenings beginning at 6:30 PM. More refreshments will be available, and attendees are encouraged to arrive early to secure their seats.
