Hundreds of people gathered across Tonawanda and North Tonawanda for the annual Canal Festival Parade.
An event going strong for the past 36 years, it has become an annual tradition for both communities.
From bands to Floats the event is always a thrill for people of all ages.
This year, city leaders say it could be the largest parade yet.
“It is wonderful to see all the people,” said Donna Braun, 2nd Ward Alderman. “I have never seen such a crowd! I feel as people go yeah this is one of the larger parades, this is the best parade in all of Western NY and I love how the community comes together on both sides of the Tonawanda’s.”
Canal Fest continues through Sunday.
