Community Support made Rock-a-Thon a Success

The Auxiliary of Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center

The Auxiliary of Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center would like to thank all those who contributed to the success of its 12th Annual Rock-A-Thon.

This year's event raised nearly $7,000. Since its inception, the Rock-a-Thon has raised more than $100,000.

The Rock-a-Thon is one of the Auxiliary's major fundraisers and it wouldn't be the success it is without support from the community, our elected officials, hospital staff and, of course, our own members.  All money raised goes to purchase medical equipment for the hospital.

The Auxiliary was the first group of volunteers dedicated to raising funds for Niagara Falls Memorial.  You can identify us by our pink smocks - we volunteer in every hospital department and also operate the gift shop.

Since it was founded, the Auxiliary has raised close to $4 million dollars for the hospital.

Auxiliary members receive free hospital parking, a 20 percent discount in our lovely gift shop and free lunch on the days they volunteer.  If you are interested in becoming a member, please contact Judy Villani, Memorial's director of Volunteer Services, at 278-4440.

Once again, thank you to all who helped make this annual event a success.
