Dominic's Grill, Yvonne's Bakery To Offer Food at Aquarium Event

She'll be there too.
Celebrity Chef: John Jourdain of Dominic's Little River Bar and Grill will present some of his works of culinary art.

The Aquarium of Niagara will hold its first fund-raiser of the year, “SEAsonings, – The Original Taste of Niagara” on Thursday (March 7) from 6 p. m. to 9 p.m. at the Whirlpool Street Aquarium.

Local area restaurants will feature their specialties, and regional wineries will offer their Niagara wines for the three-hour event.

The benefit for the Aquarium and its living collection will feature music by Premier Sound, with DJ Pat Proctor, and is raffling off donated prizes ranging from jewelry to artwork.

Tickets are $49 per person.

The attendees will also get a chance to see the many fine live displays of the Aquarium.

Among those providing food samplings is the fabulous Dominic’s Little River Bar & Grill, as prepared by its master chef John Jourdain, renowned for his gourmet creations. Indeed, the Reporter has previously written about his 7-day simmered demi-glace, made from roasted veal bone stock and dribbled over hand cut steaks, his meat loaf with savory blue cheese sauce, his rosemary-grilled lamb chops, or seafood risotto dishes that must be sampled to be believed, and have prompted sophisticated diners to say they found that Manhattan itself had nothing superior to this.
Also included will be fare from restaurants such as Yvonne’s Bakery & Café, chain establishments such as the Hard Rock Café, Just Say Cheesecake, hotel eateries such as the Four Points by Sheraton, Quality Inn & Suites, and Sheraton by the Falls, the State Parks food concessionaire, Delaware North Parks Service, The Conference & Event Center, and the student-run Niagara Falls Culinary Institute, as well as Dick & Jenny’s Bake & Brew, Lebro’s Restaurant, Red Coach Inn, The Village Bake Shoppe and Suzanne’s Fine Dining.

Participating wineries include Long Cliff Vineyards, Heron Hill Winery and Willow Creek Winery. Other beverages will be provided by Certo Brothers Distributing, Coca-Cola Bottling Company and Coffee Pause.

Piccirillo’s Florist will do floral arrangements for the event.

Joe Chille, who for 34 years hosted the morning show on WJYE Radio, will emcee.

SEAsonings is sponsored by Greater Niagara Newspapers and Niagara Frontier Publications, which publish the Niagara Wheatfield Tribune, the Island Dispatch and the Lewiston Porter Sentinel.

Tickets are available at the Aquarium, or by calling 285-3575, Ext. 206, to reserve them. Tickets will be available at the door, but its sponsors ask that, if possible, please make reservations early. For more information, call Gay Molnar at 285-3575, Ext. 204.
