Fruscione Fundraiser Features Jazz

Pappy Martin and the Love Supreme will perform at Councilman Sam Fruscione’s fundraiser at The Vault. Will Fruscione “sit in” on drums? That is a question that enquiring minds would like to know.

Councilman/council candidate Sam Fruscione will hold the first event of his 2013 campaign -“Cool Jazz Festival Part 2” - on Thursday March 14, 6-8 PM at The Vault located at 8676 Buffalo Avenue in Niagara Falls. The fundraiser will feature live jazz entertainment with James "Pappy" Martin, the well-known saxophonist and bassist and his Love Supreme Band.

Also featured will be a popular local saxophonist frequently found playing solo on Old Falls Street in Downtown Niagara Falls and who refers to himself and his music as the "anointed sounds of Vernon James."

All are invited to the fund raiser. Admission is $20 per person and includes food and drink. Several local chefs will be presenting their specialties so that in addition to meeting and supporting the candidate and listening to live, authentic jazz, there will be a mini taste of Niagara on the bill of fare.

Fruscione, himself a former professional drummer of some repute in his youth, has declined to say whether he will be joining the musicians for a song or two on drums.
