-Niagara Falls Police responded to the 500 block of 6th Street in the late morning hours of Tuesday, March 3rd, 2020, after police received a call for a possible domestic. Upon arriving at the home, police engaged in a stand-off with the male who was not cooperating. Police reported minor injuries and it is unknown if charges are pending against either individual. 

-Niagara Falls Police responded to the 1000 block of Portage Road in the early morning hours of Thursday, March 5th, 2020, after reports of indecent exposure. According to police, the caller stated that a male in his 40’s was in a parking lot exposing himself to passerby and urinating in a garbage can. 

-Niagara Falls Police responded to the 600 block of 16th Street in the afternoon hour of Friday, March 6th, 2020, after a report of possible squatters in the home. Upon entering the home, which was later condemned by Niagara Falls Code Enforcement officials, police found four people inside; a 40-year-old woman, a 4-year-old child, a 45-year-old man, and a 54-year-old man. Police and other first responders described the home as being in a “deplorable” and unsanitary condition with garbage piled up throughout and no running water. In addition, drug paraphernalia was in plain view and accessible to the child. The three adults and child were removed from the property and CPS was contacted. No criminal charges were filed.  

-Niagara Falls Police responded to the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel on Buffalo Avenue in the evening hours of Tuesday, March 10th, 2020, after reports of an armed robbery. According to police, two suspects – one white and one black – displayed a handgun and demanded money. Reports further indicated that the suspects made away in a white car. Police are continuing to investigate the incident. 

-Niagara Falls Police responded to the 2700 block of Welch Avenue in the evening hours of Tuesday, March 10th, 2020, after reports of shots fired inside of a home. According to police, the man is accused of letting off a shot and striking a door inside of the home. However, there were no injuries reported. Police say that the man was arrested despite his claims that he “did nothing wrong.” 

-Niagara Falls Police responded to the 1000 block of 17th Street in the morning hours of Friday, March 13th, 2020, after reports of a vehicle break-in. According to reports, a window was smashed and items from inside the vehicle taken. Police are continuing to investigate the incident. 

-Niagara Falls State Park Police and Niagara Falls Fire were dispatched to the Niagara Falls State Park in the morning hours of Sunday, March 15th, 2020, after reports of a man on the rocks at Prospect Point. Police say that a man was spotted down on the rocks near the base of the falls. He was, however, able to climb back up without being noticed as firefighters were preparing to descend over the cliff in an effort to rescue the person who they believed needed rescuing. The man then walked over to the rescue crews pretending to be a witness and told Police that he saw a person down there. Unfortunately for him, while being questioned by Park Police an actual witness reported that he was actually the person down on the rocks.  Police believe the man climbed over the railing and down the cliff before coming back up. The suspect was arrested by Park Police and is facing charges. 

-Niagara Falls Police responded to the 500 block of 26th Street in the afternoon hours of Sunday, March 15th, 2020, after reports of a stabbing. According to reports, a local delivery driver was stabbed multiple times during an attempted robbery. The victim is currently receiving medical treatment and police are continuing to investigate the incident.
