Falls Library Looking for Your Opinion About Library’s Future

Area residents encouraged to help with ideas

The staff and Board of Trustees at the Niagara Falls Public Library would like to have the community’s input about what they think about the library’s future.

Community members are invited to share the types of library services they use, and what they would like to see at the library over the next several years in an online survey.

“Earlier this year, we held a number of meetings with community members to ask them what they would like to see at the library. They provided some excellent suggestions, and now we would like to know what Niagara Falls residents and library patrons think of their ideas,” says Sarah Potwin, Library Director.

“Over the next few weeks, we hope that as many community members as possible will share their opinions with us on our anonymous survey.”

The survey can be found online at www.SurveyMonkey.com/r/fallslibrary, from a link on the library’s website at www.niagarafallspubliclib.org or in a paper version at the front desk of both the Main Street and LaSalle Branch locations.

“There are also flyers up at the library with tear off tabs with the web address of the survey so that people can go online anywhere to share answers,” says Potwin. “They can even take it on their Smartphones or e-readers.”

“While patrons can use a number of great materials, programs and services at the Niagara Falls Public Library’s two locations, and we would like to know what people think about them, and what they want to see at the library in the future,” she adds.

The survey is anonymous and is available until April 15. Anyone who takes the survey can enter a drawing to win a $50 Tops Gift Card. The winner of the $50 gift card will be announced when the survey is completed.

To take the survey, Niagara Falls area residents can log onto www.surveymonkey.com/r/fallslibrary or get a paper copy at the Earl W. Brydges Library on 1425 Main St. or the LaSalle Branch Library on 8728 Buffalo Ave. in Niagara Falls. Residents can also find the survey link on the library’s Facebook page, and on the library’s website at www.niagarafallspubliclib.org.
