A whimsical look at the current State of Affairs in Our Beloved Niagara Falls, USA

From the Mayor’s two terms: What did you get?
You’re eight years older and deeper in debt.

A new train station that accommodates weekly 150,
$45 million dollars spent, now ain’t that thrifty?

No City Engineer making sure jobs done the right way,
Gives ‘out of town’ contractors “carte blanche” to reap a big Pay Day.

The Hamister Hotel gets downsized every day,
The Mayor says “It’s the tipping point” or will it just go away?

So he funded movies and a Beer Blast at NACC.
Since when have the “Arts” gone so totally out of whack?

Overpriced Rock concerts and Festivals spent on your dime,
When is taxpayer waste going to be considered a crime?

Growing numbers of “sex offenders”, hookers and junkies around,
Go to College and they’ll pay you to live Downtown.

A new Court House built large enough even for New York City,
Despite only 4 Judges, 50 million dollars gone, now ain’t that a pity…

Senior Citizens without water in the winter they get,
no money to fix it but the Penguins get wet…

Opening a business downtown is a “sticky wicket,”
The Mayor’s new answer: MORE PARKING TICKETS

A world attraction named Nik Wallenda made the City come alive,
Then Dyster sent him a bill for 25 grand, ain’t that jive…

They gave 500,000 to a non-profit named Isaiah 61,
Why didn’t the Mayor tell us the Director up and run?

Negotiations with Dyster and the SPCA were to no avail,
3.2 million dollars and counting for a new Pit Bull Jail.

Sex Offenders have doubled; scattered here and there,
The Mayor said “they have to live somewhere.”

An Underground Museum in Niagara Falls as if there were any,
Still not completed 7 years later and hasn’t made a penny.

The shrinking population that’s given up the fight,
Vote the Mayor out and make things right!
