Maybe You Can Be an Artist:
Event in Buffalo, Friday, Looks at Artists

October 21, 2014

A sketch by Daniel Galas. Maybe you, too, could create artwork that people will appreciate, and pay you for....

In support of National Arts and Humanities Month in October, the Buffalo Arts Studio and Emerging Leaders in the Arts will present an exploration of the lives of artists and the work they leave behind.

Called "Creative Conversation 2014, Living Legacy," the presentation will take place on Friday ( Oct. 24), from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Buffalo Arts Studio, 2495 Main St., in Buffalo and will include artwork, performance, video, and discussions. Some artwork will be created during the event. Among featured artists are Daniel Galas, Chantal Calato, Jaime Michelle Smith, Marissa Lehner, and Tommy Nguyensmith.

Buffalo Arts Studio provides studio space and public exposure for artists through exhibitions, and gives art classes. Phone them at (716) 833-4450

National Arts & Humanities Month was established in 1993 and was initiated to encourage Americans to explore, participate and study the arts and the humanities --which is broadly -- literature, languages, philosophy, music and theatre.
