Conservative Dinner Will Honor Kemp on Saturday

The Erie County Conservative Party and Chairman Ralph Lorigo will be holding The Conservative Forum Jack Kemp Tribute Dinner at the Diamond Hawk Golf Course in Cheektowaga on Saturday (March 29). The event will be headlined by special guest speaker and supply-side economist Larry Kudlow, host of CNBC's "The Kudlow Report." Mr. Kudlow served under President Ronald Reagan as associate director for economics and planning in the Office of Management and Budget.

Supply-side economics was also a passion of the dinner's namesake, the late Jack Kemp, a former Buffalo Bills quarterback, who went on to become a nine-term United States congressman representing the South Towns, the secretary of Housing and Urban Development under President George H. W. Bush, and a Republican vice presidential candidate with Sen. Bob Dole. Kemp was known as a "bleeding heart conservative" for his stance on racial equality and rights for illegal immigrants. Kemp died in 2009, the same year he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian award of the United States.

The Dinner Committee features a number of well known Conservative and Republicans, including former gubernatorial candidate Carl Paladino, former Erie County Executive and Buffalo Bills player Ed Rutkowski, and political strategist and author Roger Stone. Tickets for the event are $250. Call Russ Gugino at 716- 440-9259 or email russgugino2002@yahoo.com.
