Third Annual Festival of Fathers Will be Held on June 30, 2013

The third annual Festival of Fathers, sponsored in part by Healthy Families Niagara, will be held on Sunday, June 30, 2013, from 2 to 5 pm at Hyde Park in Niagara Falls, NY. (Corner of Hyde Park Blvd and Pine Avenue in Niagara Falls) The festival, which is free to the public, will include a variety of games, crafts and activities along with a fishing derby to engage children and parents together. Members of the Niagara Power FCA Baseball team will be on hand for autographs.

The Festival of Fathers encourages positive father-child interaction, while celebrating dads, grandpas and father figures! But the whole family is invited – moms, dads and kids. In addition to the games and activities, those attending will have an opportunity to obtain valuable information from many other local and state human service agencies.

Healthy Families Niagara, a program of Family & Children’s Service of Niagara, is a child abuse prevention program that focuses on the well-being of children, while supporting and encouraging the family during pregnancy and continuing through the first five years.
