Frank Parlato to Expand Publishing Footprint With Acquisition of Two More Newspapers

EDITOR’S NOTE: I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of the entire staff of the Niagara Falls Reporter to wish all of our devoted readers and their families a Merry Christmas. We will be taking next week off in observance of the Christmas holiday and our next edition of the Reporter will be published on the last day of the year, Tuesday, Dec. 31. I would also like to mention that in the coming days, I will be expanding our publishing footprint by acquiring, in joint venture with its current owners, two existing weekly newspapers that serve readers in Western New York: the Lackawanna Front Page and the South Buffalo News. Our senior editor, Tony Farina, a former editor and investigative reporter at the old Buffalo Courier-Express, already writes a column for the Front Page and will be joining me in this new venture as a reporter and columnist. We are very excited about the opportunity to expand our publishing business and serve even more readers in our Western New York community. Of course, we will continue to work very hard on our flagship paper, the Niagara Falls Reporter, and make sure that our readers are given all the information that we can gather on the important issues of the day. Again, have a Merry Christmas and we’ll be coming to you again soon as we all get ready for an exciting new year.
